Belarusian curator Antonina Stebur will lead the anniversary exhibition of transmediale 2027 in Berlin. According to the organizers, her proposal was selected through an open international call.
Stebur describes her curatorial concept as an exploration of the “ruins of infrastructure.” Instead of celebrating achievements, she proposes to focus on “a state of breakdown and the militarization of everyday systems.”
“I want to rethink transmediale not as a platform for showcasing art, but as a configuration of imagining the future — one that we urgently need,” the curator explains.
