Throughout all periods of Pavel’s artistic practice, the central theme of his work has been the psychology of the individual. The concept of his exhibitions is to immerse the viewer into the depths of their own consciousness through the use of unusual yet universally familiar imagery, combined with thematic music that mirrors and reinforces these visual narratives.
His works are musical paintings with philosophical undertones — reflections on the sinful and the absurd. The artist shares his thoughts on how one might begin by improving oneself, and only then one’s surroundings. At the core of this process lies self-work: confronting and eliminating personal flaws, prejudices, and fears. In many of his paintings, the artist himself becomes both the protagonist and the antagonist, the active figure within the composition, intentionally blurring the boundary between artist and viewer.

Pavel Laburdov was born in 1987 in the city of Horki, Mogilev Region, Belarus.
1994–2004 — Studied at an art school; during this period, he participated in numerous competitions and exhibitions.
2004 — Became a scholarship recipient of the Presidential Fund.
2005–2010 — Studied at Vitebsk State Technological University, majoring in Industrial Design.
Since 2005 — Has been an active participant in group exhibitions and competitions in Belarus and abroad; prize winner of art weeks in Minsk, Beijing, and Budapest.
2014 — Held his first solo exhibition in Minsk, Belarus.
Since 2011, he has been creating graphic and musical design for fashion shows at Belarus Fashion Week.
Since 2012, he has worked as a 2D artist in game studios including Steel Monkeys, Gameloft, and Playtika, developing character concepts, game locations, and environments, as well as designing album artwork for music bands.
In 2015, a new phase of his artistic practice began, when the artist united his two main passions — music and visual art — into a single whole. He began presenting his paintings as musical works, creating original compositions specifically for each piece, which, in his view, cannot exist independently of one another.
