“Our cooperation took place like this: one of the art directors of the publication, who follows my work, wrote to me directly by e-mail, and I happily agreed to cooperate, — Dzmitry shared the details. — Accordingly, I created several different sketches for this article. The publication team liked one of them, and together we brought it to life. They suggested exact and winning changes, which improved the overall concept and saved me space as an author. That's why I really like working with Western publications and their art directors."

The illustration for The New York Times is far from the first work for major American publications, the artist notes. His portfolio already includes collaborations with Harper's Magazine, Technology Review, AFAR Media, and Entertainment Weekly.

“My experience of interacting with American publications is always as pleasant and professional as possible. In this case, it was the same. The customer respects my style as an artist and purposefully asks me to follow it along with my vision for a certain topic, — says Kashtalyan. — So I implemented the agreed concept as I see it myself. As a result, the art director of the publication was completely satisfied with the final illustration. Therefore, it is a great honor for me to work with such a prestigious publication! And my wife is doubly happier because this is her favorite medium. Dreams come true!”
