The anniversary edition of ZONE1 was curated by Belarusian researcher and curator Aliaksei Barysionak. The exhibition focused on themes of migration, displacement, and critical feminism, offering audiences a wide range of artistic media and approaches — from painting and digitally altered images to object-based installations.
In his curatorial statement, Barysionak noted that this year’s ZONE1 takes a critical look at a world twisted by its contradictions, exploring how young artists reflect on issues of memory, power, technological obsolescence, and the materialities of everyday life.
